Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Specialized Habilitation Providers. In this role, you will deliver individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them build life skills, achieve personal goals, and integrate into their communities. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct service, advocacy, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Support: Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, personal care, community engagement, and life skills development.
- Individualized Planning: Develop and implement person-centered support plans in alignment with each client’s unique goals and needs.
- Collaboration: Partner with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Documentation: Accurately document services provided, client progress, and changes in behavior or circumstances.
- Advocacy: Support and advocate for the rights, needs, and interests of clients within community and service settings.
- Professional Development: Participate in required training to stay up-to-date with best practices, agency protocols, and state regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all services meet DDA and agency standards for safety, quality, and accountability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, special education, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred: more extensive experience).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a commitment to person-centered care
- Other Requirements:
- Valid WA State driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a Washington State background check
Working Conditions
- May include physical activity such as assisting clients using mobility aids.
- Requires travel to client homes and community locations.
- Flexible scheduling available based on client needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: Starting at $28.00/hour
- Expected Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week
