Role Statement
Create exceptional customer experiences by answering questions, recommending the appropriate items to complete construction and home improvement projects, and maintaining the facility in a clean and organized fashion. Lead assigned department and assist with any issues that may arise.

- In conjunction with the branch leadership, responsible for the operational performance of their assigned department
- Understand and maintain quality store presentation as outlined in the TAL Store Standards document.
- Sets ambitious sales and margin goals. Strategically develops department team and customer base to meet or exceed agreed upon sales and margin goals.
Assists customers with product information, selection, and purchase. Offers solutions for out-of-stock items.
Maintains department inventory, including cycle counts, to maximize sales and inventory turn.
Assists in training department and store personnel in your assigned functions, including sales and customer service techniques.
Empowered to direct the work of others by assigning tasks, creating schedules, communicating priorities, and motivating the team.
Upholds the highest level of customer service to ensure an exceptional experience for our contractors, Do It Yourselfers, and homeowners.
In-depth understanding of the products in your department and basic knowledge of the merchandise in other departments.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
2 years of leadership experience preferred but not required.
Industry experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Light to medium work: Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
