Clinical Program Manager or SR (DOE)
Telecommute Option - MUST Reside in ID, OR, UT or WA
WHO WE NEED
The Health Care Services (HCS) Program Manager (or SR) provides strategic direction, oversight and organization to ensure overall success of one or more complex clinical programs (e.g. cost stewardship, specialty pharmacy). The Program Manager supports a HCS executive or directing program sponsor to ensure program deliverables are met while striving to improve care quality, enhance consumer experience, and reduce cost. Responsibilities include managing program initiatives from inception to sustainment and providing oversight related to program evaluation, development, processes and reporting during all phases of the program. Initiatives may involve managing internally developed programs or programs established through a vendor partnership. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization (e.g. Health Care Services, Health Plan Operations, Data & Technology, and Finance). The Program Manager may have Project Manageme nt Staff supporting this work, through either direct reports or temporarily assigned project managers.
Preferred Key Experience:
* Health plan experience working on clinical program development and/or management
* Experience working with various stakeholders to assess holistic data and market insights, identify opportunities, and formulate strategies and plans to meet strategic goals
* Understanding of how the various healthcare stakeholders interact (payers, providers, employer groups, members, etc.)
* Ability to bring together cross-functional teams and drive complex, sometimes ambiguous strategic efforts
* Experience creating executive level presentations and leading discussions at all levels of a matrixed organization
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed below
The HCS Program Manager would have
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field (Masters preferred)
* 8 years' experience with project and/or program management in healthcare, healthcare insurance operations or other large, complex industry.
* Experience in clinical area preferred.
* May have equivalent combination of education and experience.
The HCS Program Manager Senior would have
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field (Masters preferred)
* 10 years' experience with project and/or program management in healthcare, healthcare insurance operations or other large, complex industry.
* Previous leadership experience and experience in clinical area preferred.
* May have equivalent combination of education and experience.
YOUR ROLE
* Work closely with project sponsor(s), cross-functional teams, and project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
* Effectively manage internal/external stakeholder relationships, ensuring the focused pursuit of desired outcomes.
* Manage program and project teams to identify risks and opportunities across multiple initiatives or workstreams to ensure program goals are reached.
* Educate and train the leadership, staff, business associates and other stakeholders regarding new program elements, process and implementation.
* Maintain a system for ongoing data/statistical reporting and program assessment. Develop and communicate program documents, project plans, etc.
