Overview
The Manufacturing Research Associate IV is responsible for supporting the production of reagents used in NanoString's Spatial Biology Systems (GeoMx and CosMx). The role requires learning and performing both manual and automated production processes for the manufacture of raw, intermediate, and final reagents needed for the multiplexed detection and quantification of many different types of target molecules from biological samples. This individual learns to use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, in addition to acquiring the skills to operate equipment, perform standard operating procedures (SOPs), navigate Document Control systems, Enterprise/Manufacturing Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) systems, etc.

Follow detailed work instructions according to process, product, and Quality System requirements
Manufacture reagents and consumables critical to GeoMx/CosMx assays and internal processes
Manufacture and prepare raw materials, intermediate materials, and finished products
Perform QC testing of raw and intermediate materials as well as finished products
Collaborate with Manufacturing team members and leaders to prioritize and schedule daily production needs
Process ERP/NAV tasks as assigned
Perform data analysis and trending of production items, including troubleshooting with guidance
Assist with Document revisions and preparation of Quality System documentation, such as Nonconformance and Deviations
Train less experienced teammates on assigned processes
Assist with inventory management and ordering, as needed
Work both independently and in a team environment
Build collaborative working relationships within the group and with other Manufacturing groups, as needed
Qualifications
BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science, or a 2-year degree plus relevant experience
Strong analytical, organizational, documentation and communications capabilities
Detailed oriented and follows directions with minimal supervision
Experience performing molecular biology protocols and meticulous pipetting technique
Ability to handle multiple tasks, respond to shifting priorities, and meet defined deadlines
Ability to lift and carry 20-25lbs
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications (desirables)
3-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a medical device, biotechnology, or academic setting
Experience in either a high-throughput or production environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP, or other Enterprise/Material Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) system
Knowledge of ISO-9001
Familiarity with Master Control or other EQMS system
Experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and/or automated liquid handling robotics
Experience with histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) tissue prep, fluorescent microscopy, and/or in situ hybridization (ISH)
Experience with methods for gene expression analysis such as next-generation sequencing (NGS)
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $51,271 and $89,,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
