JPC Architects is looking for a Design Lead to join our firm.

The Design Lead position is action-oriented, forward-looking, and broad in scope. It requires a strong sense of urgency, initiative and competitive drive to get things done by influencing others, delegating, developing contacts and building relationships. There are a wide variety of activities that allow for individual expression and freedom to take action independently. Having a positive impact on others in order to achieve results is also important. The position requires social poise, warmth and friendliness, as well as the ability to stimulate and motivate others in order to achieve the results necessary for success.  Frequently, there will be a need for flexibility, risk taking, and innovation.


Position Overview:

  • Firm-wide Design Resource - enthusiastically share your passion for design and your expert knowledge with JPC

  • Lead presentations to large, high-profile clients

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships

  • Establish creative concepts that meet clients’ vision and support project scope and budget

  • A design mentor across the firm, guiding team members in their professional growth

  • Actively participate with external industry groups on behalf of JPC




  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

  • Architectural license

  • 12+ years of Interior Architecture experience

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining clients

  • Experience in all phases of design with a primary focus on concept development and design direction

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of designers, clients, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders
