Altitude Agri Services, LLC is seeking an Operation Assistant to join our ground crew located in Richland, Washington. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with visual observation of drones, coordinating changing of batteries and refilling of chemicals, in commercial and agricultural settings in various locations. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Work with Drone Pilots to confirm drones are in VLOS (Visual Line of Sight).
- Coordinate changing of batteries and refilling of herbicide with Drone Pilots.
- Uphold safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment, adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure regular standards of safety, cleanliness and maintenance are being adhered to for all aspects of the business.
- Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, and policies when performing daily operational duties and fully comply with state regulations.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be Bilingual – English/Spanish.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Applicants must have a driver’s license with a clean MVR.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge about scenarios that impact flying conditions, including weather conditions, ground hazards, and airborne hazards.
- Awareness of the FAA's Small Unmanned Aircraft (or Part 107) regulations regarding flights over people and other prohibited activities and support the PIC in flying within the bounds of what is legally permissible. Successful candidates will receive training.
- Familiarity with herbicide regulations in an agricultural setting.
- Demonstrate skills in operational safety, material handling and time management.
- Capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility to work extended days at critical times of the season.
- Ability to develop a working relationship with team members by exhibiting excellent communication and personal interaction skills with a diverse group of people.
Physical Requirements
- Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach outside in various terrains.
- Excellent eye and hand coordination.
- Individuals must wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, long pants, etc.
- Must be able to fix various mechanical issues on location, which requires knowledge of common hand tools.
Additional Information
- Travel Requirement: Ability to travel required away from home base throughout our customers service area, including occasional overnight stays.
