Seeking a Full-Time Safety inspector to help support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport Safety Branch in Keyport, WA.
The candidate will perform field inspections and surveys at various work locations, both manned and unmanned, at Naval Base Kitsap and the surrounding geographic area. OSH inspections shall ensure compliance with Federal Regulations, consensus standards, American National Standards Institute, Navy regulations, and Keyport instructions. Inspections will be conducted of all buildings and facilities to include interior spaces and surrounding grounds. Document findings and deficiencies noted during inspections in the system of record and convey the information to the appropriate authority. May also assisting with Explosive Safety and Zone inspections.
Job Requirements:
- Desirable to have an associates degree with 6-8 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience.
Exceptional knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the safety field.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.-
Proficiency with MS Office. -
Must obtain a DoD secret security clearance prior to starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of the following training courses: General Industry Standards, Electrical Safety Standards, Introduction to Industrial Hygiene for Safety Professionals, Introduction to HAZMAT Ashore
The hiring wage range is $ 30.00 to 36.00 per hour.
