Job DescriptionTo serve external customers by shipping finished product which meets customer specifications and requirements and receive raw materials while maintaining accurate inventory records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices.
It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

Operate Forklift and Squeeze Lift
Load and unload trucks with finished product and raw materials
Maintain forklift, i.e. lights, oil, water, hydraulic fluid, and brakes
Load and unload products, raw materials, empty bins, concentrates, etc.
Warehouse raw materials and products as required
Store supplies to be used in processes
Transport supplies and product to Grind, Chip, or re-work processes as required
Transport product to another warehouse for shipment or storage
Wear seat belt at all times
Operate Ten-Wheel Flatbed Truck as Required
Operate flatbed truck as required (with CDL Class B license only)
Communicate Effectively
Exchange information with Shipping Clerk to ensure shipping process is handled smoothly
Exchange information with truck drivers, Shipping Clerk, co-workers, Warehouse Manager, and Supervisors to meet process needs
Communicate with internal truck drivers regarding process needs
Communicate with truck drivers regarding load requirements
Contact Shipping Clerk with inventory adjustments of product, materials, or chemicals
Contact Maintenance regarding equipment problems
Exchange information with Sales Department, Shipping Clerk, co-workers, and Warehouse Manager regarding customer requests
Advise truck drivers regarding product to be taken to outside warehouses and product to be brought back for shipment
Control Inventories
Complete inventory records, i.e. pallet shipping sheets, transfer sheets, and row cards
Ship oldest product first; inspect product before shipping
Verify accuracy of row cards
Verify Bills of Lading and Transfer sheets
Organize warehouse inventories to meet process needs
Perform monthly physical inventory of entire warehouse
Select appropriate products for Grind and Chip processes as required
Complete inventory of materials used in production and sanitation processes including additives, chemicals, etc.
Check product frequently to assure quality
Transfer product in computer as needed (i.e. new production to appropriate warehouse, etc.)
Complete Paperwork
Verify Bills of Lading on incoming and outgoing products and materials
Record list of lots to be shipped and deliver record to Supervisor and Shipping Clerk
Complete row sheets on finished product and transfer
Log shipments on daily worksheets, i.e. item numbers, amounts, dates, etc.
Maintain running record of shipments
Print bills of lading as needed
Perform Warehouse Maintenance
Paint lines for warehouse
Maintain Warehouse GMPs
Organize supplies and pallets
Perform daily and weekly cleaning of warehouse
Maintain a clean work area; keep floors swept, brooms, squeegees, etc. in proper place; empty trash cans/bins as needed
Operate scrubber as required
Remove debris from all areas and empty garbage cans in areas of responsibility daily
Adhere to GMP standards throughout the entire plant
Ensure Food Safety by Following HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points)
Maintain personal cleanliness, wash hands frequently, wear hairnet, wear sanitary gloves
Do not store chemicals too close to food products
Avoid spilling oil or cleaning fluids on food products
Avoid cross-contamination
Follow color code policy
Follow proper procedures, practices, training
Verify correct ingredients are being used
Do not use contaminated raw materials
Be familiar with all process flow diagrams
Know all critical control points in all processes; i.e. metal detection
Sort out foreign material; i.e. wood, stickers, plastic, etc.
Manage UPS, Federal Express, and Airborne Mailings as required
Receive worksheet and labels for items to be mailed
Pull product from inventory
Label product accordingly
Tape and seal top and bottom of case
Stage in area for pick-up
Lock-Out Tag-Out
Make sure to have a complete and clear understanding of all Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
Use proper Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures at all times (washing/cleaning machinery, etc.)
