Job DescriptionAHBL is a multidisciplinary firm offering services in civil and structural engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying to public and private clients. We believe that through innovative planning, design, and engineering, we improve our communities and build collaborative partnerships one project at a time. We are looking for an entry-level Civil Project Engineer who is eager to be involved in civil engineering design on a variety of exciting projects in our Tacoma office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role you will work on a wide range of projects, including public K-12 schools, higher education, municipal buildings, stormwater, retrofits/parks, Department of Defense, and healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with clients and other team members in preparing civil engineering designs and calculations for site developments, local roads, storm water and utility improvements, including grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water, and other related work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
EIT
Experience with AutoCAD
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with storm water modeling using WWHM, MGS Flood and other software
Familiarity with Civil 3D
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is dependent on which of our internal company levels the selected candidate aligns with. This role could be filled by candidates at either a Civil Project Engineer I or Civil Project Engineer II level, and the hiring team will determine which level is most appropriate for each candidate based on their relevant background and experience. Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Ranges are based on a 40-hour work week.
Civil Project Engineer I - $67,725- $80,004 per year
Civil Project Engineer II - $73,500- $92,418 per year
Annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
