Job Description: Business PM
Current Environment Details:
The Business PM will be part of the Global Partnerships Team, which focuses on negotiating agreements with external partners to drive different initiatives.
The team secures IP from companies like Disney, WB, Sega, and NBC Universal to develop DLC to publish in the Marketplace.
The team also negotiates with development studios and hires developers to create licensed content Marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- The Business PM will focus on partnering with creators and official development partners to make content for Marketplace. They will negotiate and sign vendor agreements (MSSA, SOW, Work for Hire)
- They will collaborate with internal stakeholders and work towards consensus with stakeholders across the studio to make decisions.
- The Business PM will also work on improving processes and tooling
- Tools used include: setting up vendors in MyOrder, managing royalties processes and SharePoint
- They will need to have experience in negotiation and project management, as well as the ability to work with the legal team.
Qualifications:- The ideal candidate will have content licensing experience
- They should have experience in business development and licensing within the entertainment and/or gaming industries. (Gaming is preferred)
- The ability to own deal negotiations and address different terms, agreements, and policies is crucial
- They will need to be detail oriented to learn and follow policies and procedures
Published JD:
Maintains and develops internal and external relationships with business and technical peers for assigned partners. Utilizes process to support development and maintenance of pipeline; prepares information for reporting to key stakeholders.
Escalates to manager as needed.
Closes opportunities using predefined program frameworks or templates, as applicable. Assists with execution and deal management by communicating and reporting with Microsoft stakeholders.
Tracks blocking issues and works with deal stakeholders to drive resolutions. Supports post-deal governance and execution plans by working with internal and partner stakeholders across business and technical and operational teams. and supports measurement results by assessing progress against.
KPIs defined success metrics (e.g., revenue, volume of opportunities in the pipeline/channel).
Logistics:
Ideally this candidate will be local to the Greater Seattle area and willing to come to Redmond 3x/week after ramp. Initial ramp will require onsite full time.
