The People Operations Generalistwill join the People team's efforts to ensure First Mode is an exceptional place to work. You will operate a vast array of People processes and workflows and additional People projects as they arise. The ideal candidate is a professional and energetic team player who ensures that the People Operations function smoothly and efficiently. You are detail-oriented, resourceful, curious, and proactively seek out ways to help and improve the team. You are passionate about providing an exceptional employee experience throughout all phases of the employee lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities
Administer core People Operations functions including, but not limited to, onboarding through off-boarding processes, benefits administration, compensation reviews, visa-related requests, reporting and analytics
Maintain local compliance with company policies and state laws, including employee handbook, travel policy, policy amendments, and conditional releases, etc.
Develop and implement new guidelines and practices to continually improve efficiencies of the People team, optimizing for scalability
Own information management and 100% data integrity within our people systems including HRIS (BambooHR) and Sharepoint
Manage leave of absence and accommodation requests in accordance with state and federal law
Leverage employee data analysis to enhance decision-making, boost workforce performance, and drive organizational success
You will assist with documenting, maintaining, communicating, and training people operations processes and programs
Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast paced, growing organization
2+ years of experience as a People Operations/HR generalist, HRBP, or related role
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated competence inbroad areas ofHR: policy creation, employee relations, compliance,compensation and benefits
General knowledge of federal, state and international employment laws with expertise in compliance, best practices, and trends
Human Resources certification or professional Human Resources affiliations
Ability to use discretion and judgment to resolve sensitive issues; demonstrated integrity and ethics in handling confidential information
Collaborative approachand ability to partner cross-functionally
Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly-changing environment by prioritizing situations which require sense of urgency
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to use sound judgement to drive complex issues to resolution and influence to achieve results
Proficient in HR information systems and MS Office
Location
This position is a full-time role and will be located at First Mode's headquarters in Seattle, WA and will be required to work in office 60% of the time
Total Rewards
Base Salary Range: $91,800-$109,500
