SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE; averaging 40 hours per week. Exempt; Day Shift with occasional weekend and evening work.
Providence General Foundation is searching for a passionate storyteller who can create publications, digital campaigns, letters, social posts and videos to inform and inspire our community to support the mission and work of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The Philanthropy Communications Officer will collaborate with the Director Donor Engagement and other members of the Foundation team to promote philanthropic giving, attract and retain donors, support long term relationships with local donors and community members, help develop internal and external fundraising campaigns and demonstrate the impact that donor support has on the health and wellbeing of the community we serve.
Communications:
Manage the development of Foundation communication materials from concept to completion, including, but not limited to, annual reports, newsletters, endowment reports, direct mail, email appeals, websites, campaign materials, letters, and videos.
Gather content, research, and conduct interviews to produced grateful patient stories and videos that inspire giving and demonstrate impact.
Work with the Director of Donor Engagement to create multi-channel campaigns that educate internal and external audiences and inspire giving. This could include direct mail, employee giving campaigns, grateful patient giving, doctor's day giving, corporate partner opportunities, etc.
Create and maintain profiles of the service lines or programs that the Foundation supports through funding, including impact information such as growth statics, numbers served, or stories that illustrate lives touched by philanthropy.
Maintain Foundation internal and external websites and social media presence.
Source and manage creative vendors including copywriters, designers, photographers, videographers, and printers to produce communications materials.
Measure the effectiveness of communications strategies and implement changes in strategies if necessary to improve effectiveness. (ROI, CTRD, Open Rates, etc).
Provide communication support for Fundraising events to increase ticket sales, thank sponsors, or produce compelling and emotional video appeals.
Stewardship Communications:
Manage donor welcome communication as part of an overall strategy to educate, steward and upgrade new supporters.
Research and produce impact reports designed to thank and engage major and endowment donors. Work closely with service line leaders, physicians and nursing team to collect data, outcomes and patient stories.
Develop and execute post-campaign communication at important milestones to steward donors and highlight the impact of their support. This could include the production of thank you videos, publications, electronic messages or correspondence.
Donor Recognition:
Maintain donor recognition walls and grateful patient displays throughout the hospital.
Maintain an annual lifetime giving wall with digital and static elements to recognize donors and inspire and educate hospital caregivers, patients, and visitors of the power of philanthropy. Produce videos featuring philanthropists, grateful patients, or impact messages to use in digital donor wall displays. Assist with implementation, installation, and unveiling of future campaign related donor walls.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
Five years: 5-8 years of experience in relevant marketing, communications or writing experience
Experience in project management
Experience producing collateral materials, newsletters and videos
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in healthcare, medical, academia, or nonprofit setting
