Manager BI and Reporting
POSITION PURPOSE:
The leader of the Business Intelligence (BI) team will play a crucial role in managing and driving the delivery of enterprise-wide reporting and analytics services. Responsibilities include overseeing a high-performing team engaged in business analysis, data insights, predictive analytics, and dashboard development. Collaborating closely with Data Management, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams, the role involves defining BI infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy and road map. Additionally, this position is responsible for partnering with enterprise health services, clinical program management, product, and various core business teams to facilitate design and evolution of a fully integrated data analytics platform.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing BI team, overseeing resource allocation, productivity, and conducting assessments and ongoing staff development.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of data analytics platforms to influence product decisions.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to understand data needs, recommend strategic solutions, and establish standards for business analysis and development practices.
- Manages technology vendors supporting key analytics initiatives.
- Deliver results in an agile environment, prioritizing business needs.
- Orchestrate cross-functional activities for timely deliverables and standardize dashboard/report consumption for budgeted BI service delivery.
- Lead technical programs aligned with enterprise strategic planning and identify opportunities to align projects with business-critical initiatives.
- Develop and maintain automated systems, reports, and dashboards to drive key decisions.
- Ensure compliance with established standards in BI activities, oversee deployment and troubleshooting of BI solutions, and monitor/report improvements in BI systems and services.

- Seeks alignment and collaboration across the enterprise to bring together ideas to generate outcomes that are transformative, appropriately resourced, and scalable.
- In collaboration with Executive Leadership Team and cross-functional teams, leads process for evaluating and implementing innovation opportunities to support the CHPW/CHNW’s competitive differentiation.
- Oversees and provides strategic direction for network strategy, including evaluating effectiveness of network composition and oversight of credentialing and provider contracting strategies.
- Key point of contact with the core constituents of the Network, the Community Health Centers, including active outreach and visibility with Network leaders.
- Oversees the design and development of market-driven products and services including new lines of business to achieve the organization’s mission.
- Oversees and ensures execution of membership growth plans, including marketing and sales and retention strategies.
- Fosters a culture of equity and actively engages in DEI work as part of the Executive Leadership Team. Promotes an environment that supports all employees, across the organization, which enhances growth, communication, and engagement.
- Defuses conflicts and promotes collaboration and information sharing among employees, leadership, and outside parties. Provides guidance and stewardship in overseeing the organization through change and growth, while integrating and supporting diverse cultures and viewpoints.
- Working with department leadership, ensures day-to-day supervision, effective hiring, appropriate performance management, and staff development, with the goal of developing a cohesive, empowered, and productive team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Prior Related Experience:
- Possess bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant work experience required.
- Have managed care health plan or health care industry experience with a strong preference for state and federal government health insurance programs.
- Have minimum five (5) years of software development experience, as a lead or manager.
- Have minimum five (5) years’ experience working in a complex organization structure, working across functional teams to complete work on time and on budget.
- Have minimum two (2) years of project management or related experience, preferably with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Proficient in object-oriented design, SQL coding, data analysis, creation of predictive data models and development using BI tools preferred.
- Have experience with professional software engineering practices including full software development cycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

- Complete and successfully pass a criminal background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong relationship-building skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.
- Proficiency in project management, workflow management, vendor management, and budgeting.
- Solid background in data analysis, including extracting and manipulating data, utilizing advanced mining features, and delivering actionable business intelligence.
- Broad technical background in data analytics, coupled with strong business acumen and a customer-centric focus.
- Adaptable in an ambiguous environment, meeting deadlines and standards.
- Desire to stay current with evolving business analysis, development, and quality assurance disciplines.
- Effective presentation skills for conveying ideas and concepts to audiences at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a listening-oriented approach.
