No matter what kind of business you have, all registered apprenticeships include:
- A written agreement registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship & Training Council
- Structured training
- Wages and progress evaluation
- Certificate of completion
Apprenticeships can be union or non-union sponsored.
Two ways to join
Become a training agent
The simplest path. Use an existing program as a blueprint. The Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council considers requests any time of the year.
Sponsor a new program
Build your own standards for training, classroom instruction, skills and wages. The Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council considers new program requests once per quarter.
Washington’s Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) administers registered apprenticeships in Washington.
